As Managing Director and founder of Berthin Trading and Contracting Company, Louai Mackarem established the company in1999 with the vision of solidifying a professional and well-qualified construction firm to cater for the growing real estate demands of the Kuwait market. Under his leadership and international management, spanning 19 years, the company has grown from strength to strength to its present day stature of being one of Kuwait’s most admired and professional construction and contracting firms
ENG.IBRAHIM EL-LOZY – DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR & TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
A qualified civil engineer with twenty-five years of experience in the field of construction and project management. Ibrahim Joined Berthin in May 2003, in his role he is responsible for the overall management and quality assurance of all projects ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, to the highest standards.
BEVERLY STADEN – GENERAL MANAGER
Prior to joining Berthin Beverley gained strong international marketing experience working for reputable global brands in South Africa, Egypt and Bahrain. As a Marketing Director, Beverley is responsible for all marketing activities to continually build and develop the Berthin brand both locally and internationally.
ENG.WALAA ELKOMY – DEPUTY CONTRACTING MANAGE & TECHNICAL MANAGER
Walaa completed his education in Egypt and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture & Interior Design, Joined Berthin in 2007 as TECHNICAL MANAGER for Ibis Hotel Group, Wala has sixteen years of experience and has developed his management skills, now becoming a valued member of the project management department.
AMGAD ADEL GERGES – ASST. MANAGING DIRECTOR / OPERATIONS MANAGER
Amgad Gerges joined Berthin in April 2008 as a qualified Operations Manager with twelve years of experience in management. As Asst. Managing Director / Operations Manager, Amgad is responsible for the overall management and quality assurance of the company with the highest standards.
ENG. NERMEEN KAMEEL – SENIOR C-LEVEL EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO MANAGING DIRECTOR
Nermeen joined Berthin in 2018, graduated from Faculty of Civil Engineering in 2012 and enjoys 10 years of experience in administrative management and executive support role with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry, retail and Real-estate.
ENG. MOHEY AL-SWEAFY – PROJECT MANAGER.
Mohey joined Berthin in 2021 with more than 40 years of experience. He is a Senior Project Manager, extremely knowledgeable regulations and laws, PMI Techniques and providing expert construction directions in all aspects of public work, construction and contracts.
ENG. ASHRAF ABDULAZEEM – PROJECT MANAGER
Ashraf joined Berthin in 2017 with more than 16 years of construction experience and graduated from Azhar University in 2002 as a Certified Architectural Engineer. He has worked on several projects with a good experience in finishing work.
ENG. HAZIM ATYA – SITE MANAGER
Hazim has more than 16 years of construction experience and graduated from Zagazig University in 2002 as a Certified Structural Engineer. He has joined Berthin in 2017 as a Site Manager and worked on several key commercial and Governmental projects.
ENG. TAMER MAHMOUD –SITE MANAGER
Tamer has a more than 16 years construction experience and graduated from Alexandria University in 2006 as a Civil Engineer. He joined Berthin in 2018.
ENG. MOHAMED MUSTAFA – SENIOR SITE ENGINEER
Mohamed has a more than 14 years construction experience and graduated from Janoub Alwadi University in 2002 as an Architectural engineer, joined Berthin in 2018 as a Senior Site Engineer and has worked on several key commercial and governmental projects.
ENG. WALEED HAMED– SENIOR SITE ENGINEER
Waleed has a more than 20 years construction experience and graduated from, Mansoura University in 2001 as a certified structural engineer. He joined Berthin in 2021 as a Senior Site Engineer and has worked on several mega projects.
MOHAMMED SHAFIK – GENERAL ASSISTANT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Shafik joined Berthin in 2004 as a qualified site supervisor with more than twenty-five years of experience in the field of electrical work.
AYMAN MOHAMED – HEAD SAFETY
Ayman joined Berthin in 2007 as a qualified site supervisor with more than ten years of experience pertaining to safety and security.
FAWZI ABDEL SATTAR – CIVIL FOREMAN
Fawzi joined Berthin in July 2020 as a qualified Civil Foreman with more than twenty years of experience in the field of civil works, especially in high quality finishing.
SAYID THABET- CIVIL FOREMAN
Sayid joined Berthin in July 2018 with more than twenty years of experience in the field and has worked on several key projects experience in providing on-site management and leadership to a crew of civil techs, ensuring all jobs are completed within budget and accurately.
HELMY NAGUIB- CIVIL FOREMAN
Helmy joined Berthin in July 2017 as a qualified Civil Foreman with more than twenty years of experience in the field of civil works, with a proven background delivering sensible civil technology solutions on time and under budget while working as a team member.
MOHAMED KHALIFA- CIVIL FOREMAN
Mohamed joined Berthin in July 2017 as a Civil Foreman with more than twenty years of experience in the field he became expert in taking responsibility for assigned projects.
ENG. AHMED SALAH ELDIN –TECHNICAL OFFICE MANAGER
Ahmed joined Berthin in 2012 and brings with him more than 16 years of experience within the Interior Design industry. Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Applied Arts Helwan University in Egypt, graduating in 2002.
ENG.MOHAMMED FAWZY SALAMA – TECHNICAL ENGINEER
Mohammed joined Berthin in January 2016 as a technical office engineer. Mohammed holds Architecture Engineering & Environmental Design Certification and enjoys 5 years of experience.
WAEL EL-SHAHAT – EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Wael Joined Berthin in Sept. 2007, as a Qualified Executive Secretary For Contracting Dept. With 20+ years of experience in the field of contracting, Wael completed his education in Egypt. He is a key member of the construction department team.
ABDULLAH MOHAMED – EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Abdullah Joined Berthin in November 2009, as a qualified Executive Secretary with 14 Years of experience in the field of Tendering & Contracts. Abdullah completed his education in Egypt as a graduate at the Faculty of Sociology with a Diploma in Advanced Studies in Development with experience in reviewing tender documents and handling all related tasks.
ENG. AHMED ALAA AL-FARARGY – PROJECTS CONTROL MANAGER
Ahmed Joined Berthin in May 2020, as Project Controls Department Manager, He has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Alexandria as a Construction and Building Engineering, class of 2000. He has over 21 years of service record providing Project control services to over 30 projects with a total construction cost of more than US $ 1.5 Billion.
TAMER FATHY – EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Tamer joined Berthin in November 2008, as a qualified Executive Secretary with 15 years of experience in the field of construction sites. Tamer completed his education in Egypt, and has experience in project owners/consultants’ correspondences.
TAHA SAMY – FINANCIAL MANAGER
Taha has joined Berthin in 2016 as Qualified Financial Manager with over 15 years of experience finance. He graduated in 2007 from the Faculty of Commerce – Alexandria University and is now holding a certificate of Certified Managerial Accountant “CMA”, Stockbroker license from Egyptian Capital Market Association “ECMA”, Project Management Professional Diploma “PMP”, and a CFA member.
ASHRAF ANTON – ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Ashraf has been with Berthin since Sep 2007 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. As accounting manager Ashraf is a vital member of the team and ensures the financial stability of the company is maintained.
MOHAMED EL DEKIN- ACCOUNTANT
Mohamed joined Berthin in May 2017 as Stores Accountant with 16 years of experience in accounting. He graduated in May 2001 from faculty of Commerce –AL-Manoufia University.
MAHMOUD TALAAT KHALIFA- ACCOUNTANT
Having graduated in 2014 from the faculty of Commerce – Assiut University. Mahmoud joined Berthin in 2019 as Junior Accountant with 7 years of experience in accounting.
ALAA ZAYED – HEAD OF LEGAL DEPARTMENT
Having graduated in 1988 from AI Shams University Egypt in Law, Alaa provides more than 23 years legal experience, specializing in the preparation of legal pleadings in civil commercial, labor and commercial cases.Joined Berthin in 2006 as the head of the legal department and provides an internal resource for all administrative and legal matters registered in the Egyptian Bar Association and Cassation Supreme Administration Court Law.
MOHAMMAD HAJJAN – ASSISTANT OF LEGAL DEPARTMENT
Mohammad has more than 20 years of experience in Kuwait law. His responsibilities are to research the law required, investigate facts, and prepare documents to assist the division level heads in their duties and communication with external parties, in addition to keeping official company records and executing legal policies and procedures.
TAHA ALI – LEGAL DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT
Taha joined Berthin in 2019, as a qualified secretary with seven years of experience. He graduated from Faculty of Law in 2014.
MOHAMED MOSTAFA- HR MANAGER
Having graduate from Faculty of Law in 2004, Mohamed has 17 years of experience in Hume Resources Department, joined Berthin in 2014.

Barbara joined Berthin in May 2017, She has more than Seven years of experience in HR.

Eid has been with Berthin since 2003 responsible for all matters of purchase and sourcing. He has shown commendable skills and knowledge of the Kuwaiti market.
